The Baking Industry Awards were launched in 1987 and, over the past 21 years, have become the premier annual event in the Baking Industry calendar. The awards are organised by British Baker magazine. British Baker is the voice of the baking industry and has 8,000 readers - 2,500 of whom subscribe. It provides the industry, which includes craft, plant, in-store, ingredients, equipment, food to go, coffee and cafe chains and operators, with news and business-useful information and ideas on how to drive their operations forward. For the past 20 years the Baking Industry Awards have recognised achievement and professionalism across the baking industry, and all of its winners are members of an exclusive group that is held in high regard by all bakery colleagues.
